One such idea is the creation of a whimsical carnival ticket booth, complete with red and white circus stripes.

For this project, I used a simple piece of PVC pipe spray painted gold to create the pole. The arrows were hot glued onto the pipe, adding a touch of rustic charm to the overall design. To add some visual interest, I printed out images professionally through my lab and mounted them on foam board using a Cricut.

But what really made this project stand out was the addition of raffle baskets for the grown-ups. Who doesn't love a good scratch ticket or gift card? By including these treats, you can ensure that adults are just as excited as kids about the party.

To create the booth itself, I repurposed an old wooden lemonade stand, adding some new awnings and bunting banners in red and white circus stripes. The signage was also switched out to give it a more festive feel.

Inside the booth, I added some cute favors for the kids and a bag to hold their prizes from playing carnival games. These loot bags were purchased from Hobby Lobby and personalized with each child's name using my Cricut. Of course, no carnival would be complete without some delicious treats like cotton candy from Sugar Clouds. And when the party was all over, I was just as happy to take it all down and return to my neutral home decor.

As someone who typically doesn't enjoy bold and vibrant colors in their everyday decor, this project was a fun outlet for me to express my creativity and use colors that I wouldn't normally like. With its bright red and white stripes, the booth really added a pop of color to the party.

One thing I did worry about when creating the tent was how the sides would stay stuck together. To alleviate this concern, I gently scored the fold lines so there wasn't extra stress being put on the part that was glued. The result was a sturdy and secure tent that opened up beautifully.

The invitations for the party were also made using my Cricut, with the design coming from my own imagination. And as a special treat, I'll be selling some of the decor items and games from this party to anyone who's interested.
